“Nature-identical” means rebuilt in a lab. And “Swiss stone pine scent” doesn’t mean Swiss stone pine oil. Our label lists just one ingredient: Pinus cembra. That’s all there is, and you can check it for yourself.
Up there it's cold and the soil gives almost nothing. The Swiss stone pine grows slowly and densely, and the slower it grows, the more concentrated the oil becomes.
Most distil down in the valley, at 850 or 900 metres. We go up the mountain for it and harvest by hand, just as we have for three generations.

One or two drops on a handkerchief next to your pillow.
Four to six drops, half an hour before going to bed.
A few drops on a piece of Swiss stone pine wood. Our grandparents already did it this way.
We won't tell you what the Swiss stone pine is supposed to be able to do. How it smells, you'll notice for yourself.
The Thaler family from the Sarntal valley in South Tyrol has been devoted to the craft of oil distilling for over 100 years. Even some of Europe's best-known natural cosmetics brands have been filling our oil into their bottles for years. Now you have the chance to buy our unique oil first-hand, directly from us.
My grandfather was already distilling this oil. I grew up with the scent. I won't put my family name on anything that's been diluted.
Questions & answers
The easiest way: a few drops in an aroma lamp or diffuser. In the sauna, add three to five drops to the infusion water, never directly onto the stones. On the skin, always diluted – a few drops in a neutral carrier oil. Further up on this page we show you a few ideas in detail.
From the Sarntal valley in South Tyrol, more precisely from Reinswald, at 1,800 to 2,200 metres. We harvest there by hand and distil the oil on our own farm. No detour via middlemen.
Terpenes are the fragrant substances a plant produces itself. You can smell them when you rub a needle between your fingers. The higher and more barren the ground where the mountain pine or Swiss stone pine grows, the more terpenes it contains. They are exactly what makes the scent.
No. Our oil is meant for its scent: in the sauna, in a diffuser or diluted on the skin. Essential oils are highly concentrated, and ours is not intended to be taken internally.
Better not for children under three. Essential oils are strong, especially for little noses. With older children, use sparingly and only in the room, not on the skin. If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor first.
Only diluted. A few drops in a neutral carrier oil such as almond or jojoba. 100% pure also means: highly concentrated.
Look at the label. Does it say “100% pure” and give the botanical name Pinus cembra? And does the producer say exactly where they distil? For us: Sarntal valley, South Tyrol, Reinswald, at 1,800 to 2,200 metres.
Because nobody stands in between. No wholesaler, no brand adding its own mark-up. The oil is the same – the path to you is just shorter.
Understandable. For decades, we were the business behind the brands. A third-generation family business doesn’t put its name on the line for poor quality.
